Is organic food better than conventionally produced food? Well I have just seen in The California Report that a new study has concluded that there is no difference from a nutritional point of view (which is in line with several other bits of research) however there are other factors to consider.
- Pecticides – Conventional produced food does contain pesticides but at a low level that is considers safe.
- The environment – Organic food is produced in a way that is friendly to the environment and therefore sustainable.
- Taste – Many people are convinced that organic food tastes better although this is highly subjective.
So it is up to the individual to decide if the extra cost of organics is worth it.
